This comprehensive workshop provides a high-level overview of the exam topics including credentialing and privileging; primary source verification; compliance with standards; and medical staff services operations reviewed from the perspective of a variety of health care settings including hospitals, managed care organizations, ambulatory care settings and CVOs. This course is designed to help you assess your knowledge of the CPCS® exam content and identify areas in which additional study is necessary before you take the exam.
The NAMSS Credentialing Specialist Certification Preparation Workshop is a live virtual two-week interactive course designed to help you assess your knowledge of the CPCS® exam content and identify areas in which additional study is necessary before you take the exam. - For almost 60 years, Federally Qualified Health Centers have been an integral part of providing the underserved patient population in communities across our country with vital primary care. These health centers are held to high standards and are overseen by the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). Credentialing and privileging programs are a large component of health center operations; MSPs working in these health centers must be able to interpret and navigate the distinctive requirements HRSA has established. This presentation will educate the MSP on HRSA’s credentialing and privileging standards, provide insight into ensuring compliance with these standards, and equip MSPs with best-practices in supporting FQHCs and their crucial role in community-based health care through credentialing and privileging.
