Virtual CPMSM® Certification Preparation Course - August 2025

The NAMSS Medical Services Management (CPMSM®) Certification Preparation Workshop is a two-week interactive program designed to help you assess your knowledge of the CPMSM exam content areas and identify areas in which additional study may be necessary before you take the exam. This comprehensive workshop provides a high-level overview of the exam topics including, but not limited to accreditation and regulatory compliance; management of the credentialing processes; privileging; enrollment; medical staff services administration; risk management; information management; and medical staff services operations, reviewed from the perspective of a variety of health care settings including hospitals, managed care organizations, ambulatory care settings and CVOs. 

Participants will work through a series of online modules supplemented with four live sessions facilitated by experienced NAMSS instructors. A key focus of the course is your development of a personalized study plan for post-workshop study and preparation to take the examination. The course includes access to supplementary resources to help you prepare for the exam.

This course includes access to the NAMSS Comparison Grid of Accreditation Standards Grid Product, which is a downloadable digital reference tool providing “plain-language” interpretations of the credentialing standards for The Joint Commission (TJV), the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Utilization Review Accreditation Commission  (URAC), the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care  (AAAHC), American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (Quad A), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ), as well as the Medicare Conditions of Participation.

  • Current with the Fall 2025 through Summer 2025 Exam Content Outlines for CPCS®, CPES, and CPMSM®. 
  • Last updated: August 2024.
• The 2025 NAMSS Comparison of Accreditation Standards Grid**
  • Current to standards released as of July 1, 2025. This grid will not be reflected on certification examinations until Fall of 2026 for CPCS®, CPES, and CPMSM®. 
  • Last Updated: September 2025.
