Description:
- Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly becoming part of the healthcare landscape, yet many medical services professionals (MSPs) are still exploring what it means for their daily work. This introductory webinar is designed to provide a clear, accessible foundation for understanding AI and its growing presence in credentialing, privileging, and provider data management.
- The session will break down key AI concepts and terminology, helping participants distinguish between common tools and understand where AI is already embedded in widely used technologies. Through practical, MSP-relevant examples, attendees will see how AI can support routine responsibilities such as drafting communications, summarizing meeting discussions, organizing documentation, and streamlining administrative workflows.
- In addition to highlighting opportunities, the webinar will address important considerations for responsible use, including maintaining data privacy, ensuring accuracy, and applying professional judgment when leveraging AI tools. With a focus on demystifying AI rather than technical complexity, this session aims to build confidence and awareness among MSPs at all experience levels.
- This webinar will build a strong knowledge base for understanding AI’s relevance to the profession and prepare attendees for a follow-up session that will explore more advanced, hands-on applications and strategies. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how AI fits into the evolving MSP role and where it can provide immediate, practical value. The task force will also introduce new NAMSS resources later this summer.
