  • In this session, participants will learn best practices in recruiting, hiring and supporting people with all types of disabilities and chronic health conditions for healthcare roles. This session will also review the potential benefits of a disability inclusive healthcare environment. 

  Learning Objectives: 

  • Learn why a disability inclusive healthcare environment is important.
  • Learn about Rush's disability inclusion initiatives, including our ADA Task Force Committee and Disabilities Employee Resource Group.
  • Learn about the some of the federal laws and regulations related to recruiting and hiring people with disabilities.
  • Learn about the spectrum of physical and mental health conditions and neurodiversity that falls under the broad definition of "disability."
  • Learn about the resources available to jobseekers, employees and employers related to disability-related accommodations in the workplace
