Speaker(s):

Description:

  • Building upon last year's session, "Confidential Care to Support Physician Health and Wellness," this session delves deeper into the systemic changes necessary to address physician burnout, depression, and suicide. Despite being among the most resilient, physicians continue to face significant challenges due to workplace environments. This session will highlight the latest trends on issues facing the physician workforce while offering organizational changes that can improve the work environment for physicians and the care team. This session will then explore the crucial role of credentialing reform in supporting physician wellness, advocating for confidentiality, reducing stigma, and fostering a culture of support. By addressing the systemic factors contributing to physician burnout and prioritizing wellness within an organization, including in the credentialing processes, this session aims to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools to create healthier work environments for physicians and enhance the quality of patient care.
