• One of the most challenging roles of a Medical Staff Leader is having difficult conversations with peers. Medical Staff Professionals who support the processes, can find these conversations equally challenging. These conversations can focus on errors in clinical care, negative interactions with staff members, patient interactions, medical record delinquencies, or even dress code. Addressing these problems can feel ambiguous and uncomfortable. Some Medical Staff leaders will avoid the conversation because it is uncomfortable, and the problem persists. This presentation supports Medical Staff leaders and Medical Staff Professionals in identifying the value of these conversations and the successful navigation of the often reactionary responses to these conversations through interactive real-life scenarios.
