• Negligent credentialing issues can result in a hospital being forced to litigate a medical malpractice action where the hospital itself did nothing wrong, other than perhaps credentialing the physician. These cases also arise where a hospital does not fully disclose information to another hospital, and then gets pulled into someone else's malpractice claim. This presentation will focus on understanding how these claims arise, what you should do to avoid them, and why every hospital needs to be wary of this issue, even if negligent credentialing claims are barred by your state's law.
